The High C (Do di petto, in Italian) is the C note in the highest octave pertaining to a tenor’s repertoire.
Caruso’s High C is composed exclusively of Inner Mongolian goats' underfleece, one of the best materials in the world with an unprecedentedly thin yarn width.
The weight of this fabric is also unusually low, even for cashmere: 210 grams per meter, resulting in a garment which may be suitable all year round, regardless of season or latitude.
High C is woven and finished with special techniques aimed at obtaining a “natural stretch” effect, without use of synthetic chemical products.
Thus the fabric can be used in everyday life, with very limited wear occurring or creases developing, while still retaining the fine “hand” only cashmere can express.
